Wet, dirty and corroded coins from a fountain, wishing well, or pond aren’t accepted at banks or even by the coin counter service at your local grocery store. It’s even worse if your coins require cleaning, being mixed with foreign currency or debris such as pebbles, dirt, toothpicks, lollipop sticks, caulk, and chewing gum. Most require that coins be free of debris, clean, dry, rolled, and counted. Actually, some banks won’t even take rolls anymore. And, some charge a fee if your coin rolls are over a certain amount.
We accept coins in any condition. Just collect any rusty old scrap coins you may have and ship them to us. We’ll take care of the rest and salvage maximum value for you. Here’s how our cleaning service works:
Popular with owners / managers of apartments, caverns, caves, charitable organizations, jewelry stores, shopping malls, and theme parks, our service is thorough and usually takes 2 weeks or less depending on the size of the shipment and condition of the coins. To arrange service, contact us by email or phone at:
- After receipt, dirty coins go through a multi-stage cleaning process where they are cleaned, rinsed, and dried. Most non-bankable coins are removed at this step.
- Cleaned coins are deposited at a bank.
- We email you an itemized list of coin denominations and total value.
- The coins’ bankable value (minus a small fee) is wired or mailed to you, or any charity or other party you wish.
